2024 Schedule

April
  • Special Event: All-Day Orientation 9 am – 5 pm, The United Way (Houston, TX).
    Skill Building Series and Best Practices for Fellows Series – ASFHG Staff.

    Mandatory in-person for all Fellows

May
  • Special Event: Evening of Difference (Poster presentation and graduation of Fellows, welcoming of all new Fellows). 250 Stakeholders attend, light bites (Houston, TX).

    In-person, no virtual option

  • Monthly Meeting: 6 – 8 pm (Virtual)
    Best Practices – Public Health, Peer Mentoring.

    1. National Convening of Fellows – 270 Fellows from around the country are divided into health tracks for networking and sharing of resources.
    2. ASFHG Public Health Training – Developing a logic model as a tool to plan, implement, and evaluate public health programs; Speaker: Joanna Hawkins, MPH, Junior Fellow Program Director
