Special Event: All-Day Orientation 9 am - 5 pm, The United Way (Houston, TX)

Skill Building Series and Best Practices for Fellows Series - ASFHG Staff

Mandatory in-person for all Fellows

Special Event: Evening of Difference (Poster presentation and graduation of Fellows, welcoming of all new Fellows)

250 Stakeholders attend, light bites (Houston, TX) 

In-person, no virtual option

 

Monthly Meeting: 6 - 8 pm (Virtual)

Best Practices - Public Health, Peer Mentoring

  1. National Convening of Fellows - 270 Fellows from around the country are divided into health tracks for networking and sharing of resources.

  2. ASFHG Public Health Training - Developing a logic model as a tool to plan, implement, and evaluate public health programs; Speaker: Joanna Hawkins, MPH, Junior Fellow Program Director

 

June

Monthly Meeting: 6:30 - 8:30 pm (in person with virtual option for out of town Fellows only, satellite location in Galveston)

Best Practices and Peer Mentoring

  1. Assessing the needs of the community to build a public health program; Speaker: Carol Jacob, MPH, CHES, ASFHG Program Director & DEI Coordinator
